Today, I had the privilege of spending time with one of the most impactful, generous, successful men that I know – Frank McKinney. Yes, you’ve seen him on my site before, when I really got a chance to know him in his famous Treehouse over the summer, just after he completed the “Badwater” Marathon for the 4th time!
Frank was in Tampa today filming for the nationally syndicated morning show about his amazing contributions in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti. Within 48 hrs, Frank was in Haiti as part of the search and rescue operation, and what he’s done to help is absolutely amazing, not just recently, but over the last several years! You can help too! When I interviewed Frank McKinney last Tues (needs to be edited before you see it here), I didn’t ask him much about his houses, because I was so enthralled with the “Man”! That video interview will be up very soon, but you’ve got to take a look at his latest creation. The World Champion of Public Speaking – Ed Tate!!!
I was fortunate enough to be invited up to Univ of South Florida a few weeks ago to see Ed Tate www.edtate.com, one of the Top Professional Speakers in the World who has been crowned as the Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking! Ed Tate gave a presentation on Presenting Effectively. It was very informative and entertaining. Ed Tate, known at the Speaker Who Energizes, Educates, and Entertains did just that! Check out this clip as Ed talks about “konnecting” with your audience, a skill that separates the masters from the other 99.9% of speakers in the world.
Public speaking is a skill that is vital whether communicating one-on-one or to a group of thousands! I highly encourage everyone to improve their speaking skills. If you’re a beginner or advanced, check out Toastmaster’s International, which can help even the most frightened people become accomplished speakers. For the more advanced, check out the Siebold-Gove speaker workshops (google them)!
PS – Keep Learning! And keep a “Beginner’s Mind”. I’ve found that the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know! Always be open to learning knew things and avoid the “I already know that” trap of the egomaniac!
The Master of Balance!!! Who says you can’t have it all?….
Who says you can’t have it all? (besides Stephen Wright who says that if you had it all you’d have nowhere to put it – hahaha)
What if you really focused on moving towards your goals in every area of your life instead of choosing or allowing yourself the “easy road” and moving away from your goals. It is said that Bad Habits are Easy to Form and Hard to Live with while Good Habits are Hard to Form and Easy to Live with! The hardest person to be in integrity with is YOU! What are you letting yourself slip with? What dreams are letting go of? Be the “Master of Your Domain”! You can do it! How do I know you can? Because others have! All it takes is discipline and surrounding yourself with friends who will hold you to the same or HIGHER standard than you do yourself!

I ran into Preston at a Starbucks a couple of weeks ago and he shared some great tips on being successful. Read on after the video b/c I ran into Preston Fri evening and he told me some amazing stuff!
Preston told me Thurs that he was flying to Atlanta with Kenny Rushing (another top real estate investor). I didn’t know of any real estate events taking place up there, and it turns out, Preston was there to meet with P Diddy’s people (sorry if he calls himself something else now. I can’t keep up!) about recording a record! Now that Preston has FREEDOM and MONEY, he’s going after LIFE in a huge way (and Preston already does) on a whole new level. Not only is Preston recording a record!, he’s also scheduling to to fight in an MMA bout (mixed martial arts). You may have seen the video of Preston grappling Matt Aroyo on his website recently. I teamed up with my business partners months ago to work together on 2 things that just about everyone told us was impossible! It’ll never work! What makes you think you can do something like that! That’s not real! Everyone is talking about that, but no one has done it!
